Petrine Addae is consumed with the passion of becoming one of the next generation of African leaders who would move the continent forward. Thus, she loves to drive transformation that aims to achieve sustainable advantage and shape the future and this was evident in her role as the country manager of African Women Advocacy Project, an NGO based in Ghana.Petrine started her career at the Ministry of Finance (MOF) in Ghana as Assistant Economics Officer. At MOF, she made input into the National Budget Statement and also engaged in the evaluation and tracking of the Millennium Development Goals, as well as strategic thinking and financial data process.She has an entrepreneurial spirit and co-founded Goldwire International Services (GIS), a Ghanaian company providing local and foreign companies with services in the petroleum and power sectors. At GIS, she acted as the Business Development Manager and Initiated strategic partnership with companies, as well as identified and proposed potential business deals by contacting potential clients; discovering and exploring opportunities in the industry.Petrine was involved in strategy formulation and analysis for the African Development Bank in Tanzania, where she worked as an Economic Consultant. One of her goals in securing an MBA degree at INSEAD was to deepen her understanding of strategy development. Presently, she has learnt more on the theory of strategy, which has intensified her ability in applying strategy.Petrine was awarded Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship, a full scholarship to study at Harvard University. She was also a recipient of INSEAD Olam International MBA Scholarship for Change Catalysts for African Markets.
