Head of International Cooperation Unit at the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency. Member of management of the Sustainable Development Department. Alternate member for Sweden of the European Environment Agency Management Board.Responsible for matters including budget, staffing, planning, working enviornment and strategic development of the unit.The International Cooperation Unit coordinates Swedish EPA's participation in the European Environment Agency EEA, Arctic Council, Barents Euro-Arctic Council, Nordic Council of Ministers, OECD, CCICED, NEPA and UNECE. The Unit participates in multilateral and EU negotiations, like the Convention on Biodiversity, the Montreal Protocol under the Vienna Convention, the Stockholm Convention, and negotiations on a new treaty on plastics. The Unit coordinates bilateral strategic cooperation within climate, circular economy, biodiveristy and natural resources with countries like Brazil, Canada, China, India, Indonesia, the US, Vietnam and South Africa. The Unit is responsible for EU coordination within the Agency.
