In my first engineering work experience, I supported the Manufacturing Engineering team in their efforts to maintain and improve efficient processes across the part fabrication plant.I designed multiple milling fixtures, reducing the need for 14 fixtures for 16 parts down to only 3 versatile fixtures, reducing storage requirements. I also wrote part and work instructions to ensure build consistency across production runs.When the COVID-19 pandemic began, our team shifted focus to one thing only: keeping the plant operational, and doing so safely. We were tasked with staying up to date on the most recent science between spread prevention and sought out ways of employing this knowledge in the facility. My role was to prevent the spread through work trucks and forklifts by creating a process to ensure operators had easy access to latex gloves, alcohol cleaning wipes, and regular equipment wipe downs.

What started as a way to give back to the game turned into a part time job throughout much of high school and college. I had the privilege of refereeing games ranging from Under 6 kids to High School playoffs to Over 50 Adult's league and everything in between. Developed indispensable communication skills and how to think on the run.
