With nearly a decade of volunteer experience under my belt, I've cultivated a deep understanding of community engagement and problem-solving. From my early years volunteering at Feed My Starving Children to my recent involvement at Ballard Fish Market, I've honed my ability to collaborate with diverse groups and drive impactful change.During my time at Feed My Starving Children, I worked closely with community leaders to prepare shipments of food for children in need abroad. Through engaging discussions and innovative ideas, I contributed to raising awareness about food scarcity issues in the areas served by the organization.In 2019, I ventured to Ballard, Washington, where I collaborated with AP Environmental Science students to collect data on salmon in Lake Washington during fishing season. As a co-host of the event, I facilitated community discussions on the environmental impact of fishing, navigating diverse opinions with diplomacy and tact.My campus involvement at Lake Forest College reflects my commitment to leadership and community. As a member of the Women's Basketball Team and the Student Athletic Council, I've developed teamwork and organizational skills while advocating for student athletes' interests. Additionally, my role in the United Black Association underscores my dedication to fostering diversity and inclusion on campus.Outside of athletics and student organizations, I've also made contributions to the arts as an Assistant Director and Creative Writer in the Theater Department. This role has allowed me to explore my creative side while honing my communication and problem-solving abilities.In terms of employment experience, I've gained valuable skills in various roles, including as a Construction Management Assistant at Mapping Solutions, LLC, a Server at Chronic Wings, and a Childcare Teaching Assistant at Remnant Ministries. These experiences have equipped me with versatility, adaptability, and a strong work ethic.
