Peter is an Architect and Urban Design and is a co-founder of Spaceagency. Since 2014 he is a Director and has driven the company’s growth in Australia, MEA and Asia. Under his leadership, the company has completed several significant projects internationally.Having completed his post-graduate studies of Architecture and Urban Design in Germany, Oxford Brookes University in the UK and the Berlage Institute in Rotterdam, Peter has an international background contributed to internationally significant projects while working at leading architectural studios, including OMA, UNStudio, WilkinsonEyre, Aedas and Future-Systems.In addition to has taught extensively as a unit leader in the Urban Design Master’s and undergraduate Architecture programmes at Cardiff University since 2009 and as Unit Leader in the Master of Urban Design degree programme at the Bartlett / University College London. Peter has a special interest in computational geometries, advanced fabrication, and digital manufacturing. He has jointly led a cluster at the Smartgeometry Workshops in Copenhagen 2012, looking at the environmental footprint of architectural design, and has been part of the organizing committee for the 2013 conference and workshop in London. Peter has been a guest critic and lecturer at the University of California Berkeley and the Royal College of Art and taught advanced 3D modeling and generative scripting at the University of East London. In 2013 his work for the Emirates Air-line in London got published in the ‘Advances in Architectural Geometry’ publication and Peter was a key-note presenter at the corresponding conference at the Centre Pompidou in Paris.Peter has been successful in international Urban Design Competitions such as Europan 6, 7 and 8, looking at strategies for Urban renewal in European Cities. He has also been awarded ‘runners-up’ the 2001 ArchiPrix International AwardPeter has worked on a number of complex projects both in the UK and internationally. He has an ability to move effortlessly from small to large scale and has the ability to dive into details while maintaining an overview and sight of the big picture, which makes him well suited for larger scale projects. Peter has experience in urban design and the movement and experience of people navigating urban environments both of which are relevant. As part of this role, he has been managing the team as well as the client and other stakeholders throughout all stages of design and delivery.
