As the Chief Financial Officer at Pidilite Indutries, Mumbai, one of the admired consumer goods companies in India with marquee brands like Fevicol, Fevikwik and Dr Fixit, I headed the planning, controlling and compliance functions in finance at Pidilite, besides driving internal audit, risk management and investor relations.2. As a member of the Pidilite Executive Committee (PEC), the highest decision making body at Pidilite, as well as the Pidilite Leadership team (PLT)., was part of the key decision making process at Pidilite.3. Played a key role in partnering the various businesses within Pidilite through multiple forums like Margin Reviews, Commercial Reviews as well as the CEO-CFO forum which reviewed action points emerging from Internal as well as Departmental Reviews and progress on the same for each business unit and enabling function. 4. Was an active member in the acquisition and integration of Cipy Polyurethenes, a leading floor coating company based in Pune.

As the President & Global CFO at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals , a leading pharma company with businesses in the USA, India, Europe, Latin America and MEA regions, with a consolidated revenue of $1.4 Bn (FY17) 1. I led functions such as consolidated financial results, business MIS, planning and budgeting, taxation and tax planning, corporate secretarial and overseeing global treasury and forex management besides assisting the CMD in areas such as inlicencing and capex decisions. 2. Was a member of the Core Operating Group (COG), the highest decision making body at Glenmark.3. Successfully led raising debt of $400 Mio through a combination of FCCB and USD bonds. The FCCB had an innovative structure, wherein the conversion price is determined at a date much later than the issue closure. 4. Initiated the implementation of a financial accounts consolidation tool to transition to an ERP based consolidation process, with the objective of delivering faster Accounts & MIS with enhanced accuracy. 5. Was a key member of the core team overseeing the transition to a GST environment, ensuring a smooth Go-live in July 2017. Post implementation teething issues affecting the industry were also pro-actively managed through representations via forums like FICCI as well as directly.6. Achieved a reduction in the effective tax rate of Glenmark Pharma thereby enhancing the effectiveness of tax planning while ensuring full compliance with tax laws.7. Was a key member of an initiative aimed at rationalising the SKU mix for key markets.

After a successful stint at Godrej Consumer Products, I moved to the holding company (Godrej Industries) to head finance, secretarial and investor relations functions besides the Group role of leading the finance centre of excellence (COE) for the Godrej Group as well as oversight of the Group Investment Portfolio. At Godrej, I have played various roles in the areas of financial accounting, business finance, planning and budgeting, taxation and tax planning, treasury and FX management, secretarial & company law, corporate planning and investor relations. I have been associated with the demerger of the erstwhile Godrej Soaps Limited, the implementation of the EVA framework in Godrej Consumer Products (GCPL) and have played a key role in GCPL’s overseas acquisitions in Asia, Latin America and Africa. My first leadership role came with an overseas stint when I took over in 2005 as the Head of Finance and Company Secretary of Keyline Brands, a personal care business based in London, UK. As GCPL’s CFO and Company Secretary , I have, since 2008, been closely associated with the valuation, diligence as well as setting up of reporting systems and controls at the company’s acquisitions across Asia, Latin America and Africa and have been instrumental in capital raising through low cost overseas borrowings, structured products, QIP and Preferential issue placements.

I took over the role of CFO and Company Secretary at Godrej Consumer, a $1.5 bn (FY15) revenue company and the largest home grown FMCG company, in the year 2008, on my return to India after a 3 year stint as the CFO & Company Secretary of Keyline Brands, a London based personal care company. I headed the finance, secretarial and investor relations functions in this role and played a key part in the inorganic growth of GCPL. I was involved in the financial due diligence and setting up holding company structures for acquisitions in Indonesia, Latam and Africa and oversaw setting up of systems, internal controls,and MIS reporting at these overseas subsidiaries.

I was the head of finance and the company secretary at Keyline Brands Limited, London, UK. Keyline is a personal care company in the UK with a mix of owned and distributed personal care brands.

Joining as a management trainee in 1995, I have worked in different capacities and handled functions such as treasury, taxation, accounts, secretarial, investor relations, and corporate planning and rose to the position of General Manager (Finance) by 2005. During this period, i have worked with Godrej Consumer Products, Godrej Industries and Godrej Agrovet besides overseeing some of their 100% subsidiaries.
