Customized ABAP functions for the loading and changing of materials via a BOD/IDOC interface from SAP MDM.• Developed ABAP Material Master extracts for the porting of products to the principal Alcatel-Lucent SAP instance.• Supported the production SAP QTC ordering system regarding all aspects of the Material Master, including primary developer for ongoing updates to the loading process.

Quote to Cash SAP 4.6 Install• Responsible for the development and loading of the SAP Material Master. Installed an interface between SAP and an external Oracle database. Material master customized IDOCs and functions, ABAP/4 programs, and the data transfer mechanisms of MQSeries and ConnectDirect were used.• Created detailed specifications. Lead a small team of developers. Designed/wrote the Autosys jobs for the automation of loading materials into the SAP material master. SAP System Conversion• Migrated the first SAP implemented Order Management System into an SAP R/3 version 3.1i environment. The migration reduced costs and consolidated the development and production support teams.• Managed a small team of developers and worked closely with the functional staff.• Designed material master data extraction and loading procedures. • Assisted product managers that prepared data elements for migration to the 3.1i environment. Product Database Interface to SAP Germany Order Processing Client• Ported a critical material load interface from an existing SAP system over to a new SAP system. The porting used the design of the installed interface and enhanced it for new requirements.• Led the coding tasks for a small development team. Wrote detailed designs, code objects and verified the testing of all the code.• Tools include ABAP/4 programs and functions, IDOC, MQSeries, ConnectDirect (file transfers), Autosys for automatic job scheduling and UNIX scripts. SAP Order Management System• Responsible for procedures to load and maintain the Material Master in Lucent’s first SAP implementation.• Analyzed and completed the use of SAP’s Direct Input programs. This allows materials to be loaded using SAP specified data structures. The data loaded into the material master was extracted off of MVS DB2 and IMS databases. The data was reformatted, validated and extended into SAP structures.• Implemented ABAP programs, jobs and processes using SAP BDC sessions.
