I assisted senior staff or practitioners in the implementation of treatment and care plans for all service users. I also actively engaged service users to maintain and develop social, self help, occupational and personal skills as well as engaging them in everyday living activities including management of personal possessions. I also engaged with service users in the use of occupational and leisure facilities, outings, holidays and shopping whether this was on site or off site dependant on the individual risk assessment.

I worked in conjunction with Lancashire Constabulary and support services across Preston on an EU funded research project aiming to develop a tool to assist practitioners in assessing victim vulnerability. Within this role, I liaised with professionals and victims of violent crime, conducted literature reviews and used computer programmes such as SPSS. I also conducted interviews with individuals that have been victimised, using both quantitative and qualitative methods. I disseminated the results at a practitioner workshop and this research has been published.
