Managing Large Warehouse Databases.Supporting Change Management,Working with Oracle SR Support

Activities carried out are:-Configured High Availability with Dataguard and RAC, 6 node primary and 6 node DR. Database upgradations from 10.1.x.x to 10.2.0.4/11.0.1.7Switchover / Failover test performed every quarter depends on the criticality and the down time we get on the DB.Creating and designing the Databases as per the requirements and specifics tailored to the projects needs.Database Upgradation and database clone using RMAN / DatapumpRecommend changes to increase efficiency, minimize operating expense or improve accuracy and timeliness of application systems.Implement effective database security practices and procedures.Applying all advocated patches and CPU patches.Maintain OFS database on Windows.In worst case , rebuilding DR using RMAN or using SRDF depends on size of DataBase.Co-ordinating with application team to solve technical issues.Perform maintenance activities in strict downtime. Oracle database files are managed thru ASM.Performing detailed database performance checks and analysis using AWR, GRID and other scripts and optimizing performance if necessary.Formulating Backup strategies using RMAN thru GRID.Taking Logical Backup using Oracle Utility expdp/impdp.Performing SQL query performance tuning and advising the development team accordingly.Maintaining appropriate change control procedures using Remedy.
