After almost 40 years in the financial services industry, I am ready to apply my leadership skills and business experience within a socially conscious, mission-driven, for-profit, and or non-profit organization. I will be pursuing Board roles where I can have an impact in furthering the organization's mission and business focus through sound corporate governance, strategic planning, helping reinforce short- and long-term corporate sustainability, and ensuring the alignment of strategic direction, core values, and internal work culture. I will explore opportunities that focus on serving critical social and community needs. Over the last 40 years, I have gained a wealth of experience in managing bank operations, affordable housing grant programs, disaster relief programs, risk management functions, major projects, human resources, and leadership/management coaching. At the core, I am a problem solver, an efficiency-focused, strategic, mission-oriented, and results-driven individual. However, the skills that I value most are leadership, listening, and talent development /motivation. I am energized in building and guiding highly productive and collaborative cross-functional teams. Recognizing that feeling valued is dependent on more than just compensation, I have been committed to remaining approachable and accessible to all staff levels. It is important to me that my staff and others feel connected to senior management, understand the “bigger picture” and reasoning behind business decisions, feel welcomed in providing their views/suggestions, and see tangible evidence that their input has had an impact. Outside of work, I pursue several creative outlets, including woodworking, painting, photography, and being outdoors as much as possible. I believe strongly in giving back through volunteer engagements and devoting my time and resources serving on mission-committed non-profit Boards.
