Born in Paris, raised in France and a citizen of the world, Philippe GAUTHIER is a Filipino at heart –a multi-awarded Frenchman of his generation. He has been granted the rank as the Chevalier of the French Merit National Distinction by the French Government in 2004.In September 2015, he received another recognition as the Legion of Honor by the French Republic – one of the highest distinction bestowed to a French National.Living in the Philippines for more than three decades now, he is one of the foremost Frenchmen who has established himself well in the country. In 1982, he established his first joint venture with a Filipino group, a technical training center. In 1986, he founded EUROASIA Philippines Inc. and up to the present, is the Chairman of this growing company. EUROASIA is a manpower service to international companies with projects abroad.He is currently the Chairman of ASIATYPE, INC. which was created in 1990. It is one of the country's leaders in electronic publishing for books and maps. At the same time, he is also Chairman of VSL Philippines, established in 1997, a construction company specialized in Post-Tensioning Work which is under the umbrella of BOUYGUES CONSTRUCTION GROUP.He was the President of CCE (Conseillers du Commerce Exterieur de la France) from 2006 – 2016 and was elected as Honorary President. He was the past president of the UFE (Union des Francais a L'Etranger), and was a Board Member of the ECCP (European Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines.The FRENCH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE (formerly known as the LE CLUB - FRENCH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF THE PHILIPPINES) is one of the most significant achievement he had done in the country. Formed in 1988 with a few other French friends residing in the Philippines, it has grown today to about one hundred fifty members, keeping business ties among the French and Filipino businessmen thriving.
