I was responsible for our central hire desk function in which I oversaw the management of circa 85 front line staff including Sales & Service Advisors, Key Account Managers, Internal Sales Managers along with our Premier and Strategic Partnership hire desks.

I managed a portfolio of customers within the Telecoms sector in which we offer a full turn-key service from site survey through to deployment of access solution. The role also included direct management of 4 Telecoms Supervisors within our Telecoms desk based team.

I managed a team of 11 Sales Advisers and 3 Internal Sales Managers across 3 regional Sales Desks. It was my job to ensure that the team were maximising revenue against agreed targets through predominantly inbound activity. I was also tasked with ensuring outbound telephone account management and the development of both the existing customer base and new business, across all products within Nationwide Platforms portfolio.

Headhunted by the owner to open and manage a new start office from scratch I was responsible for getting the office up and running. In addition to sourcing new business I was also tasked with staff recruitment and managed a team of five. In less than twelve months I propelled the business to being one of the market leaders and a well-known brand in St Helens with a fantastic sales/instructions ratio. My role as Branch Manager meant I was the focal point of the office and dealt with the day to day running of the office in maximising profits and building and maintaining new and existing relationships.

As a Senior Sales Negotiator for Countywide, I covered the Merseyside area based at the St Helens branch. The role was to liaise and build relationships with clients, both vendors and perspective buyers, negotiating all offers and ensuring the point of exchange was reached quickly and efficiently. The role essentially involved successfully hitting daily, weekly and monthly targets, something that secured me the position of senior sales negotiator within seven months of being in the post. Additionally, I presented to new perspective clients to secure new business, assisted with managing the office, holding team meetings, collating figures and reporting to the regional manager.

Appointed by the Camp Director, my position was to oversee the ‘Counsellor in Training Program’ for thirty 16 year old former campers interested in learning the role and responsibility of a camp counsellor. I was responsible for evaluating the youngsters mid and post-season and recommending them for future employment as a counsellor. In addition, I supported the ‘CITs’ to make the transition from camper to counsellor, by assisting them with the ability to teach activities, as well as dealing with guidance issues with their campers. I was also accountable for the set-up and implementation of private sports programs for any camper wishing to take additional instruction. This was my second year at the camp with my previous post involving the organisation and development of recreational and educational activities, preparing curriculum for swimming and football programmes, along with teaching life skills and promoting individual growth to campers
