Started in the Motor Claims call centre, taking incoming calls and lodging motor vehicle accident claims.Later moved the the Settlements and Recoveries departments where I spent the bulk of my time determining liability in motor vehicle crashes, negotiating settlement where I had determined our customer was the at fault party, or recovering funds from another at fault party, or their insurance representative.

Designed and developed lesson plans, scenarios and reporting mechanisms to meet the training needs of staff and provide a skill base that could be assessed and reported on. Planned and conducted training sessions and scenarios for firearms and defensive tactics, with a focus on the New Zealand Police tactical options framework, providing an opportunity for active learning, peer review, practical assessment and debrief.
