- Analyze departmental business requirements, review vendorproposals to requirements, and act as a technical resource for complexclient/server and web-based computer systems. Implement, integrate, and document application software solutions to support Office of the Registrar needs.- Analyze existing programs or work to formulate logic for moderatelycomplex new systems, devise logic procedures, perform coding, data analysis, and test/debugprograms. Analyze business application requirements and provideestimates of programming effort and durations. - Write relational technology software objects such as SQL or PL/SQL. Review and refine current technical and functional processes and existing software solutions to improve effectiveness/efficiency and to ensure a smooth transition from one year to the next.-Troubleshoot system issues and work with IT technical support to see them through to resolution.Serve as technical liaison to IT.- Assist with Office of the Registrar Cognos report generation andmaintenance of the department’s Cognos query library. Also refine AstraSchedule Crystal reports as needed.-Serve as the technical resource to support the maintenance and testing ofall corporate data feeds to/from the University of California, Merced. Provide testing, maintenance, and support of degree audit processes for u.achieve/Banner, scheduling processes for AstraSchedule, functionality for Platinum Analytics, imaging processes forImageNow, as well as a variety of processes for other technical solutionsand tools.- Act as a technical resource to help set up all data tests for user applicationtesting of products and participate in the in-depth testing of localapplications during major/minor functional and technological upgradesfrom Banner, u.achieve, Cognos Reports, Crystal Reports,, AstraSchedule, Platinum Analytics, Perceptive ImageNow, and a variety ofother technical solutions and tools.
