As Director, Support Programs, CTE and STEM for Downey Unified School District, I am responsible for the entire Career and Technical Education (CTE) program which supports over 10,000 students grades K-12. The Downey Unified School District is on the cutting edge of educational practices. Under my supervision we have developed twelve comprehensive "Career Pathways" that are fully articulated with our local post secondary educational institutions. In addition, our Project Lead The Way Engineering program and curriculum begins in the Kindergarten with the "Launch" Program, continues into the middle grades with the "Gateway To Technology" curriculum, followed by the four "Project Lead The Way" pathways in the high schools. I am responsible for a number of other programs such as Elementary Physical Education, Physical Fitness testing, middle school sports, and the GATE program.

As Principal of West Middle School in Downey, California, I was responsible for the supervision and evaluation of all programs to include, academic, budget, staffing, and student care. The student body (1450 6-8 grade) was extremely diverse with an SES of 60% free and reduced lunch. We were a Title I school with an API under 650. Five years later, we were able to reach 780, and consequently we were awarded the California Distinguished School honor. West Middle School now boasts API scores above 800.

Assistant Principal responsible for oversight and supervision of student services to include two Vice Principals, one Director of Student Activities, one Director of Athletics, staff development, student attendance and discipline, teacher evaluation, and instruction. 3000 high school 9-12 grade.
