About Phil Davis

Phil is an environment, social and governance (ESG) and sustainability specialist with 14 years of consulting and in-house experience. Phil joined The Carlyle Group’s Global Sustainability Team in September 2019, as Head of Sustainability, EMEA and focuses on three key areas: 1. Building more effective ESG governance & increased capability across all Carlyle’s key segments and platforms in EMEA; 2. Creating value for Carlyle's investors through risk mitigation and identification of sustainability-related opportunities; and 3. Phil has worked with a number of investment firms to develop KPIs and gather ESG related data on their portfolio companies and he has delivered ESG related training in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Africa on behalf of development and corporate banks, as well as to PE firms. Prior to joining PwC, Phil worked for AMEC Earth & Environmental as a technical Health, Safety and Environmental consultant and spent 12 months at the Isle of Grain in Kent supporting the development of National Grid’s LNG and high pressure gas infrastructure.
