• Delegating work/tasks, dealing with workers’ complaints, ordering materials, tools and plant, booking workers’ hours, undertaking site inductions and Tool Box Talks, installing discipline and quality of work, and enforcing health and safety rules and regulations.• Liaising, providing and receiving required documents from principal contractors and sub-contractors and in doing so building a rapport/level of understanding.• Inspecting tools and plant according to LOLER (1998) and PUWER (1998) as well as managing re-testing, inspections and physical possession of certification for book keeping in respect health and safety inspections and audits.• Arranging, attaining and filing proof of workmanship in respect to principal contractors and utility companies.• Quantity surveying for concrete pours, tarmacking and muck away• Checking deliveries and over-seeing waste exportation from site according to The Waste Regulations (2011)• Keeping records in the form of site diaries, noting delays in respect of the causes and effects to the programme• Logging materials and plant delivered for accounting purposes in head office.• Assisting engineers in setting out.
