Brammer are the UK division of Europe’s leading distributor of MRO products and services, and our team provides a proactive support function for pre and post sales activities. The role requires design, implementation and maintenance of management information reports on a monthly and ad-hoc basis. Both internal and customer facing reports are produced with advanced Excel and Access skills and, where possible, VBA and SQL programming enables automation of those requested on a regular basis. Furthermore, ongoing data analysis is required to identify trends and variance in spend, to inform and discuss with both Regional and Key Account Sales Managers.

Reporting to the Professor of War Studies for The University of Hull, I am employed on a consultancy basis to complete technical research projects, including full written reports, on the Improvised Explosive Devices in regular use in Afghanistan since 2001.

Spring Technology is a market leader in the IT recruitment industry, where my primary role was to develop new business and manage ongoing relations on behalf of a colleague during maternity leave. Although I joined as an experienced consultant, a large diversity in market trends had developed since my previous recruitment role which subsequently required significant flexibility to adapt my skills accordingly. Additional responsibilities included commencing operations within the financial sector, management of advertising campaigns and generation of exclusive agreement with existing clients.

Valuable experience gained from MSB assisted me to manage a team of 4 sales staff for a manufacturing organisation within the fashion industry. To improve new business development, I initiated alternative methods of operation based on a Lean six sigma approach. This role required commitment and ability to adapt, to ensure that I could meet the necessary targets whilst also offering team support as required. Although it was a very challenging position, the level of dedication I applied helped me to succeed in this role.

With MSB as a major competitor in the IT recruitment industry, I received valuable sales training facilitating me to make confident interaction with clients at many levels. Placing IT support staff during a saturated period within the industry required a high level of commitment, and willingness to work long and unsociable hours in order to meet very demanding sales targets. I held a successful position with MSB and developed strong confidence when dealing with complex and challenging situations.
