I am a product development leader with proven experience in medical devices, team leadership, concept generation, CAD, mechanism development, and design for manufacturability. My work has resulted in over 20 US patents and multiple IDSA and MDEA awards. I lead product development projects in medical and biotech at Bridge Design starting in 2006 and directed the engineering department starting in 2008. Bridge Design merged into Ximedica in 2015 and I directed site operations for the first year of transition and then directed the engineering team in San Francisco until early 2020. Then I contributed technical leadership to projects as principal mechanical engineer until 2023.I have been working as a mechanical design engineer since the year 2000. My early experience was in developing consumer electronics at Foundation Design for clients such as Kodak, Palm, and Netgear. I graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.S. in mechanical engineering in 1999.As a longtime athlete and former professional modern dancer, I have deeply engrained biomechanical sensibilities that bolster my intuition for usability and ergonomics problem-solving.
