Commenced with Sunderland in Sept 2002 as a Sure Start Programme Manager and then to final position through progression in two other positions, Sure Start Operations Manager (Citywide) and then Integrated Services Manager.

Started with the Authority as Commercial and Contracts Manager in 1991 and moved into Children's Services in 1994. Left in Sept 2002 after supporting the establishment and further development of an Early Excellence Centre between 1995 and 2002.
