Phil is a Project Manager and Landscape Architect with strong interest in taking projects from the detailed design/contract documentation stage through to overseeing implementation of landscape contracts.Phil is experienced in overseeing the construction process and liaising with consultants and contractors. Phil currently works as Land Development Project Manager at Selwyn District Council, based in Rolleston. Prior to this he worked for 14 years in Boffa Miskell’s Christchurch design team.Design documentation and construction supervision work Phil has been intimately involved with includes: Foster Park and Foster Park Playground (Rolleston), Pegasus Town and Golf Course, Caroline Bay (Timaru), University of Canterbury Science Precinct and Library-Registry Plaza, Youth Justice South (Rolleston), Youth Justice Central (Rotorua), Northlands Mall and the Palms Mall (Christchurch). Phil also has a strengths in Project and Contract Management. Phil is a Certified Associate in Project Management from the Project Management Institute. Previously, Phil has been Contract Manager on a large Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) Biosecurity Control contract (2010 – 2014) and also as a Project Manager for Statistics New Zealand (SNZ) Census 2013 mapping.Phil has a strong background in landscape design using computer-aided design (CAD), and has strengths in programmes such as Microstation, AutoCAD and Photoshop. These are helpful tools in communicating complex designs, plans and maps in a clear and simple format. Phil started his Landscape Architecture and Project Management career at the Christchurch City Council, where he prepared various landscape and development plans for Council Parks, Reserves and Streets.
