I’m an Expedition Guide and Leader of many hats. I often work at sea as part of the ship's crew, everything from small yachts up to the North Pole on board an icebreaker. Independently can lead, guide, write about or organize a trip based on specific needs or goals of a company or individuals. Adventure, Expedition, and Outdoor gear consulting is one of my side gigs in addition to having worked logistical background for documentary/film crews and teams of scientists between both Poles. I’ve worked with brands as diverse as National Geographic, Lonely Planet, and private charters or small local tour companies you’ve never heard of. I’m also open to giving consultations on how to break into the expedition industry as a guide, scientist, or crew member. Although I will work almost anywhere cold and take pride in the hard work ethic instilled in me by a childhood on horseback and in the great plains of Kansas, the Denali region of Alaska is home for me where I run a small homestead farm when I’m not at sea. I'm happy to go on trips to scout, guide, write stories or reviews, provide security/rescue service, drive or paddle boats, sail and handle lines, guest lecture, teach, push icebergs out of the way, handle base camp, feed the horses, cook for people (a little), keep the fire going, whatever...
