As an Application Support Engineer, I am at my best when I am packaging and deploying software, converting an organization to a new software management system, maintaining environments to reduce costs and minimize licensing requirements, or documenting solutions so helpdesk, desktop support and other engineers can more efficiently perform tasks.I have extensive experience building, documenting, supporting and training desktop teams to work with backend workstation support environments. Launching integrated technical solutions for multiple corporations spanning market research/data, advertising/marketing, and financial services is also a strength as is my consistent record of success implementing solutions with little or no impact to end users. Simply put, I get enormous satisfaction in figuring out problems, making things work and helping end users resolve any issues they encounter so they can be more productive in their job role.I've worked in IT for the bulk of my career and have seen and learned so many different ways to do things. I think I'm very innovative and I always find a way to minimize the strain on end users so they can worry about their jobs and not about security, updates and vendor hiccups.Some projects/problems I’m proud of:• Converted a customer’s workstations from McAfee antivirus to Symantec antivirus.• Converted our company’s workstations from McAfee encryption to Microsoft Bitlocker (MBAM).• Built, documented and supported Commvault workstation backup environment, including automated emails to inform users of ‘no backup in X days’, combining 2 Commvault reports with an Active Directory ‘last logon’ report to more easily locate accounts to be deleted so as to save on licensing.• Led effort to rebuild failed Connected workstation backup environment for customer.• Maintained SCCM monthly patching and helped deploy numerous software packages utilizing VBScript/Powershell expertise.• Migrated Commvault, MBAM and JAMF (Apple management) environments from physical servers to VM servers.
