This role involves explaining the work of the RSPB to the public at various locations and venues in order to gain memberships for the RSPB, as well as fundraising with one-off donations.Accomplishments:▪ Consistently hitting and exceeding MPS targets (members per shift). I am one of the highest performing fundraisers in the UK team. ▪ Gained and demonstrated management and leadership skills, mentoring new starters and others within the wider fundraising team, and using situational leadership to help understand their development areas. I have given direction in a suitable manner depending on the situation, judging the style of support fundraisers may need. For example, cross-team working and supporting Area 14 and Area 11, by mentoring staff to increase their memberships per shift.▪ During the height of the pandemic, I was part of a trial for the Big Garden Birdwatch, which involved making phone calls to follow up people's requests for their bird watching pack and gaining memberships/donations via telephone calls. It proved to be a great success and the role involved high technical skills, using PC telephone software, following data on Excel spreadsheets, and adding new data in accurately with high GDPR standards. My recorded phone calls are now being used as examples to the wider RSPB team for training.▪ Presented learning and development presentations to a team of new starters on how to stop people effectively whilst out fundraising.▪ Created learning resources, such as infographics and fact files for other fundraisers to use for their conversations, improving their performance.▪ I made the most memberships per shift at Sherwood Forest over the summer period where I also had the most shifts, which meant the consistency level was very high. This was in addition to mentoring new starters and helping to conduct interviews with my Area Manager.▪ I made over 550 memberships in my time as a Fundraiser at the RSPB.

This role involves checking the correct versions of songs are uploaded to the playout system, as well as choosing an even spread of music suited to the target audience. The role also involves checking for music clashes and artist rules to ensure songs/artists aren’t being repeated too often. I also check the charts and trending music to update the A list or recent hits.Accomplishments:▪ Creating a station sound which is focussed and received well by listener comments and presenter feedback.▪ Creating a system where it is able to pic out music automatically for features, such as a ‘Guess The Year’ music clock.▪ Understanding the differences between this program and using RCS Selector, where they share some similarities.▪ Creating a music database suitable for broadcast, going through the database to check for erroneous copies to replace with radio edits and higher quality songs.

Presenter of Gem Anthems, an upbeat radio shows live 3 times a week to celebrate the weekend. During the shows, I was responsible for updating social media posts, engaging people to listen by creative clickable content. As well as my presenting role, I was the music scheduler for Gem Anthems. I had to keep the categories in RCS Selector up to date and checking any song clashes with others during the day, making it ready for playout. I would also input into music choices and look at music testing to refresh the songs played. In addition to this, I was also responsible for checking to see if the whole day had enough songs for timing purposes and make the ‘non-live’ hours of the station’s day sound polished, to make sure everything played out as it should when no-one was around. I also produced audio for presenters to play out in the daytime, organised Selector/Linker categories and was on hand for technical support.Event wise, I hosted half marathons, presented exciting outdoor events such as Splendour Festival and tech-operated other events across the East Midlands.

I presented the breakfast show on Free Radio 80s (2015-2018) and presented a recorded, timed and segued six-hour overnight show for the Free Radio Network (2014 - 2017), which was presented live when there were any adverse conditions. As well as presenting, I had many producing and technical roles. For example, I was responsible for the content of the Black Country and Shropshire’s breakfast show where I was a co-producer, and then led to becoming responsible for the whole group's breakfast show social media, audio production, editing and website content due to my experience, knowledge, and audio editing skills.In 2013 to 2018, I was responsible for the output of Free Radio 80s after gaining trust from my superior colleagues as an important asset to the station’s running. This involved adding songs to the database with cut numbers ready for the music programmer to schedule. I also made sure the automated hours sounded polished and timed them to make sure there was no silence. As well as this, I presented the breakfast show on the station, which was mainly pre-recorded but achieved high RAJAR results.Accomplishments:- During my time at Free Radio 80s, the station received the highest RAJAR listening figures and the highest amount of breakfast show listeners under the brand.- I was responsible for posting and scheduling social media posts for all of the Free Radio breakfast shows, uploading podcasts and making sharable content. Hosting events across the West Midlands which received great feedback from colleagues and the public.- Supporting colleagues through challenging times and keeping professional and level-headed during a radio station buyout.

I used Genesys to schedule, edit and tag audio correctly, as well as using Selector to check the database and match audio cart numbers.Accomplishments:- Producing an emotional audio piece for the Global news team, reporting on a tragic event which happened in the news at the time. I received positive feedback from colleagues and listeners as to how powerful the message cut through with the use of editing skills.- Working with high-performing talent to make sure they had all the materials and tools they needed to do their job, such as printing schedules, checking the music log and producing audio.Programming a certain amount of Welsh music using Selector to ensure the station was compliant with Ofcom rules.

I presented regular weekday and weekend radio shows on 107.2 The Wyre and reported on travel and events regularly on The Severn and Telford FM, where I also covered shows. As well as presenting, I produced many of the station sweepers / IDs and was on call for technical support with ENCO DAD playout software. I discussed website content and audio production ideas regularly with the programme controller, as well as being responsible for updating all the station websites.Accomplishments:- Fixed technical problems quickly and supported the rest of the team by producing audio and being a team player.- I worked with the Programme Controller to re-design the stations’ websites and added a feature to the website to display a picture as to who was on air at the time, to match with what was being played on air.- Presented multiple regular shows and hosted successful live events on low budgets.
