Working as part of a small 3 person team to provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd line IT support to teachers auxiliary staff in addition to the provision and support for all Audio Visual work throughout the school.Initially involved with a major upgrade of all network systems across the entire site of approximately 800 users. I was responsible for the replacement of switches, network equipment, cabling, PCs, all Wireless Access Points and a wide variety of other hardware types including routers, visualizers, Smart TVs, Smartboards, IPads. I am currently involved in another large project with the roll out of a BYOD (Bring your own device) laptop program which with just over 700 pupils presented a number of challenges. My day to day duties include network maintenance of Windows 10 based systems including some server work using Windows Server 2012, Active Directory, AB Tutor Control and others.Carrying out issue resolution for any tickets rasied using “Service Desk Plus” management software, ensuring any actions are carried out in a timely fashion with as little interruption to the end User as possible, whilst keeping stakeholders updated throughout.Working with management of Phone System Portal using “Daisy” Software.Working with management of Printer Systems using “Papercut” Software.Responsible for the production of AV technical manuals for staff and other users. Carrying out training for some equipment where requested.Management of all Audio Visual setups across the site involving five different bookable rooms ranging from a Theatre to a Chapel. This involves the maintenance of all related equipment in the various stores and locations, the setting up and running of all the equipment and liaising with the various involved Departments and individuals both internal and external to ensure any events run smoothly from a technical perspective and the User’s needs are met.

Working as part of a small 3 person team maintaining and developing the school infrastructure whilst supporting both teachers and support staff.Duties included maintenance of the network using RM software for education and the RM Management Console.Using the in-house built ticketing system, ensuring tickets were detailed with issues raised, diagnostics carried out and solutions detailed with the end user kept informed throughout.Responsible for dealing with a variety of IT queries from parents and other staff.Responsible for installing and maintaining a wide range of software and hardware including desktop pcs, scanners, printers, switches, cabling, CDT cutting tools and a wide variety of other equipment.Creating and maintaining departmental documentation including asset management and crib sheets with associated documentation for end users.Liaising with the various departments (both teaching and non-teaching) with both day-to-day issues and larger project work.Assisting with school wide upgrade to WLAN, VLAN and roll out of BYOD across multiple buildings and departments.
