As an educator and leader with over 35 years experience, my vision is for schools to be centres for excellence and innovation in teaching and learning. I promote a contemporary and forward thinking vision for learning that is focussed on the preparation of young people for life in the 21st Century. I recognise and embrace the paradigm shift in learning from an industrial to knowledge economy and strongly support a competency-based approach to learning. I look to foster a growth mindset where trial and error, resilience, determination and openness to challenge are valued as normal stages in the learning cycle.
