Equal Experts are an international agile delivery consultancy with a mixed portfolio of clients across public and private sector. Since November 2016 I have been working with HMRC in their Delivery Centre, initially as a Business Analyst and latterly as a Delivery Lead

My primary goal has been to assist with delivering a multi channel bulk data transfer solution, starting with the first Amazon Web Services based platform in the delivery centre. The project works to GDS standards and I have been part of the team responsible for getting the service accredited for live use. - Coordinating and facilitating Agile Ceremonies; working with the team to ensure we take tangible learnings from retrospectives that are put into action as the team progresses through their delivery cycles.- Delivery Metrics analysis; working from a data driven approach to assist with decision making within the team and Delivery Centre.- Continuous Improvement; using a combination of data, external knowledge, best practice and team learnings we continually adapted our approach to delivery to ensure we were working at our optimum.- Lean / Agile coaching; team coaching role with my eye on promoting better more empowered conversations centred around lean, iterative and sustainable delivery- Project Management; responsibilities for coordinating dependent streams of work and training up a new in post Project Manager.- Promoting an open enjoyable working environment; working alongside the team through various team building exercises, agile games and knowledge sharing to create an innovative environment driving for continual improvement.- Leading the team to the first live running service on Amazon Web Services; through creating enduring relationships with external teams and suppliers we managed to deliver on a new platform. It involved extensive security assessments, agreeing a shared vision and goals and taking a flexible pragmatic approach to challenges from stakeholders.

- Advocate for Innovation; championed the introduction of different agile methodologies to ensure we deliver high quality, shippable solutions to business and user needs. Worked to get a new team off the ground and facilitated the selection of the working practices we were to start with.- Continual improvement; advocated the implementation of Google Analytics to ensure lean principles were baked into the new solution from the beginning so that the Product Owner and the delivery team had the information necessary to constantly improve the service.- User Research; Initiated a user research programme under the Government Design Standards framework, both for internal and external stakeholders, I brought User Experience resource in to assist with the collection and theming of the findings with the end goal being to inform how the different phases of the project are implemented.- Built an MVP; working with the Product Owner I facilitated the creation of an MVP and the definition of meaningful increments to follow. Through challenging and negotiation we reached a position where technical constraints, identified through high level analysis, were met while delivering something of value to the users.

Sky is Europe’s leading entertainment company. The group serves 22 million customers across five countries: Italy, Germany, Austria, the UK and Ireland. I worked within the Leeds Digital Platform team, specifically under my remit were the Business Analysts responsible for improving the digital experience for customers purchasing Sky products. Alongside that I also managed an internal guild, gathering people together to discuss their common interest in Agile Analysis. I promoted a focus on collaborative ways of working to solve Hypothesis and meet user needs through the use of qualitative (User Research methods) and quantitative (analytics and trend analysis) research.

International Personal Finance are a leading provider of Home Credit and Digital loans focussing on markets in Eastern Europe, Mexico and Australia. I worked within the Process and Requirements team driving forward the implementation of enabling technology and improved business processes, my focal areas were centred around mobile application development for use by 30,000 users and assisting with the introduction of new processes around the management of requirements within the project team.

Financialforce, a subsidiary of Salesforce, are a rapidly growing provider of cloud based ERP software. The company internally develop the individual applications making up the ERP software in a Scrum methodology with 15 teams across the globe contributing. I specialised across two of the six products; Human Capital Management (Cloud based HR) and Professional Services (Cloud based Project Management), providing requirements to three Scrum teams. I specialised in balancing multiple customers requirements, turning these requirements into user stories to drive improvements in existing core product functionality and introduce new feature functionality to increase the capability of the companies offering. I held a position as an interim Scrum master with a team of 8, alongside my BA role.

Lead Business Analyst focussing primarily on the requirements capture elicitation and analysis for our extensive program of change running over FY13/14. Covering Dynamics CRM implementation, Transactional, high availability customer web portal, Accounting Package Refresh, Change Management, Training, Presentations to the Business and stakeholder management. My core area of focus is around the elicitation and gathering of requirements for translation into technical requirements using a variety of techniques from Workshops to Shadowing, Fit Gap Analysis to Process Re-Design, however I have also implemented a standardised BA process model along with supporting documentation to conform with ISO9001 and to ensure high consistent quality is provided at all times of the BA Involvement in a project.
