Mekvale is an envelope overprinting company. My role as Production Manager was to ensure the smooth running between the Sales Department, the Print Department and liaising with the Reproduction Team which I was also the Manager of. I had to make sure deadlines are met at the most cost effective way. I also produced daily Production Figures which monitor the efficiency of the Printers and Printing Presses. It also was my responsibility to work out the logistics of moving ten printing presses and computer data to the Company’s new premises in Walsall whilst maintaining the flow of work in the firm’s factory in Croydon. From July 2010 my roll was that of Mac Operator Artworker where I have to check customers art work/pdfs making sure it meets with Royal Mail specifications and where needed, using Enfocus PitStop Pro, amending to single or 4 colours where instructed. I also managed the art work library/archive.
