Profile bio

About Phil Smith

After 34 years in journalism I have stepped back from the front-line to concentrate more on training and education and a freelance basis. Currently, this means teaching at three different universities in Taiwan and doing some training and advisory work for different media and commercial firms. I am still involved in safety training for journalists who will be working in hostile environments and the after effects such assignments can have on an individual. This is a particular specialty. I divide my time between Asia and Europe, basically six months a year in each, and in terms of objectives I am looking for training and advisory opportunities on a freelance or short-term contract basis.

Listed skills include Journalism, University Teaching, Editing, Storytelling, and 19 others.
