My general duties at SJC include: Direct the day to day operation of the airport and ensure the safe and efficient operations of all facilities.  Manage the airside, landside, terminal, and security sections of the airport.  Inspect the airfield and maintain the airport in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), Advisory Circulars (AC), and other applicable standards. This includes, but is not limited to, Title 14, Code of Federal Regulations, Parts 139, 150, and 77; Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Regulation 1542; and all of the applicable standards contained in the 150 Series Advisory Circulars (ACs); the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, etc. Enforce Federal, State, and Local regulations.  Enforce city municipal codes and airport operating procedures. Manage wildlife attractants and hazards on the airfield. Coordinate, respond, and mitigate various airport emergencies.  Coordinate with government agencies, airlines, concessions, FBO’s and ground handlers

My general duties at LAX included: Inspect airport facilities including runways, taxiways, ramp areas, terminal buildings, perimeter roadways, and parking areas.  Maintain airport in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and Advisory Circulars (AC); including but not limited to Title 14, Code of Federal Regulations, Parts 139, 150, and 77; Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Regulation 1542; and all of the 150 Series Advisory Circulars (ACs); etc. Operate the Airport Response Coordination Center (ARCC) Manage airport operations, resolve airport complications, handle emergencies, and provide customer service.
