MENTAL HEALTH Over 10 years’ experience as a Samaritans Listening Volunteer across a wide range of roles including Branch Director and Training Director. I’m currently 13 months into a 16-month fixed term contact (ending March 2022) as a Project Officer at Samaritans Head Office managing the roll out, training and support for a new recruitment database system to 201 branches across the 4 nations. I’m also a member of their Head Office Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) team supporting staff. I am passionate and experienced in supporting individuals struggling with their mental health and training and mentoring others to provide support. During 2019-2020 I ran internal training courses for Canon (UK) on behalf of their HR team to teach line-managers and staff volunteers to provide emotional support to staff as ‘Mental Health Champions’. Following its success, I was asked to extended this out to Canon Europe staff. I ran the same course for staff at the GoAheadLondon Bus company.MARKETINGI worked for 30 years in Customer Marketing for Canon (UK), Project Leading the development and delivery of marketing campaigns through advertising, promotions, social media, events, training and product launches across a broad portfolio of market leading products. This included end user targeted activities to driving incremental sales growth through key partners and stakeholders such as John Lewis, Amazon, Dixons, specialist photo retailers and our agencies; generating product awareness and sales across a number of market segments. Responsibilities included creating the budget strategy, delivering campaigns, promotions and events and tracking spend, incremental business and return on investment. I also have a huge passion for music both listening and performing as a semi-professional drummer.
