In my role as General Manager | Europe at Adstream, I was responsible for building the commercial aspects of the business and expanding the company’s client base by driving sales and marketing activities in what is recognised as the world’s leading advertising digital asset management, workflow and distribution company. I had direct P&L responsibilities, and managed a Europe-wide team of Regional Managing Directors helping them generate new revenue and grow existing income through innovative and successful sales teams.

Looked after the Renault, SMA, United Biscuits and Nestle UK accounts. Not all at the same time.Focused on producing Big Ideas that can be media neutral and make people think differently about brands.

My business partner and I launched Townhouse - a fully integrated advertising agency in 2006 and won a number projects from our key founding clients, including Chevrolet, Red Bull and Fox.The philosophy of our agency was to put clients’ business problems at the heart of everything we do and deliver solutions to those problems, not just ads.

My accounts Included; Red Bull, Chevrolet, Haribo, Oakley, Salty Dog and GallaherWhile there I improved revenue by 45% and profit by 300% . We won four key new clients. The number of employees doubled from 9 to 18. I improved existing client relationships, resolved internal politics and helped produce quality ads.I was instrumental in setting up a retail advertising solution for Chevrolet and created a virtual agency network with other sister agencies (BTL, Digital, PR and Event Management).

My accounts were Halifax/Bank of Scotland.While at DLKW I worked with all members of Account Management to co-ordinate career opportunities, pay reviews, promotions and appropriate account allocation. Additionally I dispensed pastoral advice where necessary. For my client I provided overall strategic direction and supervision of all advertising.

My accounts included Heinz, John West, Bulmers, Hallmark, Gala, Bel Fromagerie.I worked with all members of the Account Management department to co-ordinate career opportunities, pay reviews, promotions and appropriate account allocation and dispensed pastoral advice where necessary. I also helped manage the merger with D’Arcy. For clients I provided overall strategic direction and supervision of advertising for the Heinz and John West brands. I coordinated the Bulmers pitch win.

I ran two accounts – American Airlines and the oneworld alliance.I provided overall strategic direction and supervision of advertising and direct marketing campaigns and consumer promotions for the American Airlines and oneworld airline alliance.This included running the American Airlines Group, comprising of advertising, direct marketing and media buying/planing.

Dec 1996 – 1999: M&C Saatchi, London - Account DirectorMy accounts included the oneworld alliance, Sainsbury’s and Scottish Courage.As an Account Director I drove overall strategic direction and supervision of oneworld and Sainsbury’s accounts.I started as an Account Planner, when my accounts included Silk Cut cigarettes and Foster’s beer. I worked with account teams to determine strategic direction for both Silk Cut and Fosters.
