Bring me a hard and/or interesting question and I will give you an innovative answer.I am a mathematician with particular skills in actuarial maths, statistics, econometrics, risk modelling and building sophisticated computer models to answer hard and (always) interesting questions. Core skills are primarily focussed on investment consulting and setting investment strategies though I retain an interest in a wide range of areas from nuclear decommissioning to predicting the future run-off patterns for outstanding traveller's cheques. Clients currently include central banks, pension funds, insurance based organisations and global businesses. I have been lucky enough to work for hundreds of insurance companies and pension funds around the world as well as projects for the UK Government and the governments of Botswana, Namibia, Dubai, Jordan and a fascinating World Bank project in Pakistan.As I passed the age of 50 I became interested in the challenges of retirement and how we can all accumulate a nest egg prior to retirement and then how we draw it down during retirement.
