With a lot of hard work and a great team within two years we became the second largest Aston Martin dealer in the world behind Palm Springs.2019 I was awarded (Sytner) General Sales Manager of the Year.2020 Nottingham became the largest Aston Martin dealer in the world.2023 Awarded Aston Martin Global Dealer of the Year.

I was invited back to Sytner Nottingham as New and Used car Sales Manager.Nottingham is a very well run and hugely successful dealership, selling 2000 Newand 2000 used cars, on top of this they were keen to set up a non franchised usedcar operation to sell some of the best part exchanges. Sytner Select are now sellingclose to 200 incremental used cars per year. When I joined back in 2007 there werefour sales managers today we have seven.For the last 3 years I have managed the Select department selling interesting classicand selected non franchise cars whilst also covering for the new and used cardepartments.

The move from Sales Manager to Sales Executive at Sytner may seem strange but Iwas very keen to get into a premium brand and at this time Sytner had an arm called"Sytner direct" that specialised in other makes including Ferrari, Lotus, AstonMartin, Lamborghini, Land Rover Range Rover etc. This I saw as a strategic way tofurther my career into the specialist brands.I soon became one of the top performers in that team and increased my experienceand income significantly.

Following my success with used cars at Sheffield I was transferred to JaguarCoventry by Geoffrey Page-Morris as used car sales manager, the business wasfalling way short of its potential.I implemented a lot of Sytner's process into Coventry and moved the used carnumbers from 17 a month into the 40's within a very short space of time, this madeCoventry one of the groups top performing businesses.

My remit under the guidance of Mike Tyson was to improve used car sales as the business was underperforming. During my 12 months I introduced some of the process that had made us so successful at Sytner Nottingham, many of the basics that people forget.

I started my career here in used cars, moving after a year to their newly acquired Peugeot dealer.I became the first Sales Executive in the group to sell 200 cars in a year.In 1990 I was promoted to Sales Manager.
