Primarily responsible for Linux systems, but I share responsibilities in Networking and Windows Server (including Active Directory). I use AlienVault Anywhere USM and Nagios daily for a look into what's going on in our infrastructure. Ansible is our automation tool of choice, and Python is my first choice of scripting language over BASH. I deploy code to our infrastructure per request.

As a project engineer, I am responsible for new client onboardings, client standardization, and client infrastructure deployments. I frequently configure and deploy Dell PowerEdge servers (with Windows, XenServer, or CentOS), Cisco ASAs, Buffalo NAS devices, AeroHive and OpenMesh access points, Cisco SG series switches, SANs utilizing CentOS and NFS, and Active Directory. I performed several server migrations, requiring clients to move from outdated server hardware and operating systems to current standards. During projects, I ensure that proper Nagios/Naemon monitoring is in place for all existing and new equipment.I performed a couple of Exchange Server 2003 to 2013 migrations in two steps – once to Exchange 2010 and then to Exchange 2013. Using BitTitan, I performed a few IMAP, Gmail, and Exchange to Office 365 migrations.For projects methods and technologies that were new to us, I frequently take on the role of documenting the procedures for configuration and deployment so that other technicians and engineers can assume the responsibility and learn.I write and maintain several PowerShell and Bash scripts for automating software installation and server standardization.

Support of ~1,300 students, faculty, and support staff in a Windows/OSX environment. I supported and deployed hundreds of iOS devices yearly, and several hundred PCs, laptops, iMacs, and MacBooks twice yearly. I was the main point of contact for Avaya handsets, deployments, and iOS devices.During my time with the schools, I was the STLP director for Todd County Middle School and worked with students to get them hands on experience with technology, research projects, and teach them the fundamentals of coding.
