Downer is a leading provider of services to customers in markets including: Transport Services; Technology and Communications Services; Utilities Services; Engineering, Construction and Maintenance (EC&M); Mining; and Rail.In this role I enable the deployment and development of the internal Job Management application ‘FUSE’ , in support of the Asset Management services provided by Downer to local and national road infrastructure organisations such as Transit New Zealand and local bodies.The application is being extended to manage other Utility (power/water/communications) assets and so offer greater opportunities for the deployment of the application in support of Downer operations.

Evolution Software was a Start Up, building a SAAS Business Platform, incorporating components from traditional ERP systems but built to be more modular in nature and using Service Bus architecture.Evolution Software was under the umbrella of (and expecting initial deployment in to) Brand Developers Limited, a significant stakeholder.The role as Product Owner, covered Accounting, Sales/Purchase, Split Testing and Tenancy functionality and required:• backlog creation and prioritisation (using User Stories captured in the Team Foundation Server extensions to Visual Studio)• defining acceptance criteria and signing off development on this basis• liaising with selected external parties acting as ‘future customers’ of the service A secondary activity was monitoring competitive products/solutions, to keep Evolution abreast of the developing market direction. Some time was also spent providing Business Analysis support to Brand Developers.The development at Evolution Software concluded when continued funding for the development was declined.
