I am a Principal Associate in Eversheds' Corporate Compliance team. I specialise in health and safety defence work, regulatory and compliance advice and road transport law.My recent experience includes acting for various organisations subject to investigations by the Health and Safety Executive following serious injuries to employees and third parties. I also prosecute both maritime and environmental offences and have led cases by myself, as well as supporting Counsel during lengthy Crown Court trials. I advise on product compliance issues relating to CE marking and conformance with relevant EU and domestic standards. Products range from machinery, lifting equipment and vehicles to consumer products and electrical equipment.My regulatory experience includes working with other organisations including the Traffic Commissioner, Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency and the Care Quality Commission during both contentious matters and non-contentious due diligence work. I conduct my own advocacy and have appeared in Coroner's Inquests, Magistrates' Court Hearings and Traffic Commissioner Public Inquiries.I assist with Eversheds' public and in-house training offering. I lead on Eversheds' Driving for Work, Health and Safety Legal Update and Managing Contractors public courses. I also design and deliver in-house courses for a range of clients.
