Brand USA is a public-private partnership, established by the Travel Promotion Act of 2009 to market and promote the United States as a premier travel destination.My role consists of two main areas of focus:Brand USA Travel Week, Media Forum, and CEO Summit U.K. & Europe: Referred to together as “Travel Week,” these three events, held concurrently each October in Europe, are an opportunity for European travel trade and media to meet up with US DMOs (Destination Marketing Organizations) and RTOs (Receptive Tour Operators) for a week of pre scheduled meetings, enrichment, and networking. By bringing together key players in the US, U.K. and European travel industry, Brand USA showcases the diverse range of travel experiences available throughout the US and drives future visitation from the U.K. and Europe. In my role planning and executing the three events, my responsibilities include:• Project Management and strategic thinking• Identifying and securing sponsorships• Collaborating with a team of consultants• Coordinating branding and design• Identifying and securing enrichment speakers• Budgeting and financial forecasting• Composing and sending out online communicationsStrategic Partnerships and Stakeholder Events: I manage Brand USA’s event sponsorships, working with regional and national groups like Discover New England, Travel South, Go West, US Travel, and Capital Region USA to manage Brand USA’s presence at events around the country.

Earthworks is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting communities and the environment from the adverse impacts of mineral and energy development while promoting sustainable solutions.My role consisted of three main areas of focus:Donor Marketing, Stewardship, and Retention: Developed and implemented supporter communication calendar and plan. Lead editor of solicitations and publications including direct mail, email campaigns, and newsletters. Worked with a digital communications team to cultivate new donors, and with a major gifts officer to solicit high value donors.Strategic Planning: Assisted in the creation and implementation of multi-year strategic plans for the philanthropy team and the organization. Conducted ongoing analyses of donor trends and internal performance to inform our strategies and budget.Administration: Managed the organization’s Salesforce database. Implemented new systems and collaborated with the finance team to maintain data cleanliness and streamline financial reconciliation. Worked with our Executive Director on event and travel planning, board meeting management and special projects. Hired and supervised an assistant to increase my team’s administrative capacity.

Born Free USA is a national animal advocacy nonprofit focusing on ending the suffering of wild animals in captivity, protecting wildlife, and encouraging compassionate conservation globally.In my role I researched and composed grants, developed giving programs, communicated with donors and foundations, planned events, processed donations and acknowledgements using DonorPerfect, and assisted my director as well as our CEO on special projects.

Worked at Cambodia office of New York based not-for-profit development firm East West Management Institute (EWMI). EWMI’s work in Cambodia focuses on implementing environmental advocacy and human rights initiatives funded by USAID.In my role I helped develop Open Development Cambodia, a website bringing free and open legal data to Cambodia's citizens, businesses, and government. I also worked with the firm’s Grassroots Networking and Advocacy team on the development of an environmental organization dedicated to the preservation of the Prey Lang Forest, located in northern Cambodia.
