Hi there! I’m a behavioral scientist with over 8 years of experience at the intersection of research and practice. I currently work at Rare’s Center for Behavior & the Environment, where I translate the latest insights from behavioral science into scalable behavior-change interventions, provide advisory and design services for external partners, and work to better integrate behavioral science into environmental initiativesMy experience ranges from promoting nature-based solutions for adaptation and mitigation, like climate-smart agriculture, regenerative grazing, and erosion control, to supporting community-led fisheries management, electrification, and waste reduction. The unifying theme: someone, somewhere, has to make a new choice. Prior to this, my research focused on how the brain’s biological constraints lead to predictable biases in the way we make choices, and the role that our own primate evolution has played in shaping these constraints. Academic expertise: Behavioural science, randomized controlled trials (RCTs), neuroeconomics (i.e. decision neuroscience and behavioral economics), choice biases, and neurobiological heuristics."
