The Shipowners’ Club is a mutual insurance association. It offers P&I (Protection & Indemnity), Legal Assistance and Defence cover (also known as FD &D) and associated insurances to smaller and specialist vessel owners, operators and charterers around the world. As a mutual association, the Club is owned and governed by its Members. Members share risk and operate on a non profit-making basis. The board of directors is drawn from the membership. Underwriting, claims and loss prevention services are provided by the Managers of the Club.I am a Managing Director with over 30 years experience in the Onshore Contracting and Offshore Marine Contracting and Port Management industries both in the UK and overseas with allied engineering/manufacturing knowledge. I have a record of excellent planning, forecasting and cash management in both tough downturn operating and high growth conditions. I am a positive team builder and leader with an open management style based on sound technical ability and good communication skills. I have extensive experience in project and asset finance, contract negotiations and Joint Venture operations with particular emphasis on Middle East and West Africa.
