Point Pleasant Park (Halifax, NS) was devastated by hurricane Juan in 2003. More than half it's mature forest was completely destroyed. My role was to provide the GIS needed to be part of the Point Pleasant Park Master Restoration Plan. This involved many facets, here are a few:* Interpolated DEM and DSM from raw (ASCII) LiDAR point data* Created digital 3D videos (flood modeling, fly through, etc)* Developed procedure to integrate DEMs into Google SketchUp and transfer SketchUp models back into a GIS* Viewshed analysis of strategic views throughout the park* Presented findings to HRM planning representatives and on separate occasion to COGS graduates and faculty
* Supervised +70 production employees* Responsible for ensuring quality and integrity of products and standard operating procedures* Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) coordination and implementation* Collaboration with the Canadian Food Inspections Agency
