Came 2nd in the running for UCA Kent Student President 2019. Attending monthly meetings both in person and via Skype, check ins and reports by members of the student union, including other campus' student executives, course representatives, accommodation wardens, union workers and elected Union Presidents. Discussing various matters concerning the UCA students and goals and objectives of the student union.

• Working with the student halls staff and wardens - Helping new students moving into student accommodation, showing them to their rooms, helping with luggage, talking through the rules regulations, general information on halls, uni, the surrounding area, health and safety, and answering any questions themselves and the family had. • Prepping rooms for students, identifying and fixing problems and issues.• Office work and organisation at the UCA Student Union office.• Social media and in person interaction with the freshers and current students, getting the word out on freshers events. • Handing out merchandise and wristbands to those who had purchased packs. • Helping with purchasing issues, taking and processing payments, both physical and electronic, cashing up end of the day and keeping track of payments. • Working with the Student Union president/co-presidents, organising local events and organising feedback from students for upcoming event ideas.• Chaperoning events at multiple locations across Rochester, Chatham and Maidstone. Organising and sorting issues with transport. • Prepping locations for specific events. • Overseeing the freshers fair, working the Student Union Table, helping societies with their stalls, e.g. setup, signup sheets, and helping with branding for certain societies – e.g. the making of the Rochester Alpine and Dryslope Society logos and stickers. • Meeting with student presidents and planning for freshers 2017 and 2018, which venues on which nights, contacting venues in advance to organise, contacting transportation companies, etc.

• Experience in customer service & till systems, greeting & taking orders, processing transactions, relaying orders to different sections of the establishment.• Trained & have experience in all areas of the establishment involving food preparation - hot & cold sections behind the counter, using bespoke machinery and appliances for a range of hot and cold food and drink production.• Meet & greet to new customers coming into the store, seating & explaining the menu & ordering process, checking on diners and table service/wait staff, clearing tables. • Stock checking throughout the store, in charge of hot section which also covers stock check for cold section throughout the shift, as well as utensils and takeaway ephemera, drinks fridges, ensuring supplies are to hand and there is stock upstairs too, either myself or instructing others to fetch items from upstairs if needs be, noting low stock items for weekly orders. • In charge of stock check for deliveries, ensuring everything is accounted for & directing others where things must be put behind the counter sections, kitchen, freezer and stockroom.• General organisation & keeping things in the sections in their places, as well as upholding good personal hygiene and ensuring all areas are clean both through the shift and thorough cleaning & close-down of the workplace and machinery on close shifts.• Ensuring all machinery is switched on & ready to use on opening shifts, checking fresh perishable stock for the day. • Training new staff members on machinery use, proper preparation methods, where things are kept, what has to be checked & when, & close shift procedures.• In charge on evening shifts when managers are not present, ensuring sections get cleaned and closed on time, all online orders are prepared, checked off and sent out with delivery drivers on time to customers. Time management and teamwork is key here for different food prep times & drivers for different deliver locations.
