About Philippa Charles

Having worked as a commercial dispute resolution lawyer with a strong focus on cross-border disputes and international arbitration for 25 years, my practice is now focused solely on work as an arbitrator. I have represented clients before many of the key arbitral institutions including the ICC, LCIA, SCC and ICSID and in arbitration under the UNCITRAL Rules. As an arbitrator I have conducted cases as sole arbitrator, chair, and party-nominee in cases under the ICC, LCIA, SCC, FAI, AAA-ICDR, and SIAC Rules and in ad hoc arbitration proceedings. By focusing only on work as a full-time arbitrator, I aim to ensure that I offer informed and responsive case management which reflects my knowledge and understanding of the conduct of arbitration proceedings as counsel.
