Passed my Part 1exams in June 2023. Starting second semester in Sept 2023 with the hope of completing the course by Feb or June 2025. Long haul but absolutely worth it.

Over time these small changes aggregate to transform a struggling existence into lives imbued with purpose, balance, health and happiness. Given 32 years running an executive search business in Financial Services, I feel at ease with senior professional service executives, and have a natural empathy with those trying to cope with high levels of stress, fear, anger and/or burn out. As CEO I developed and led a highly regarded team of consultants which over the years was involved in the build out of some of the premier names in investment banking, hiring over 1,000 senior front-line executives for Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, Barclays Capital, JPMorgan, and latterly RBS. The brand we built was known worldwide for the rigour and professionalism of its approach, its use of specialist knowledge, its extensive and unique candidate database, and the quality of its candidate referencing. In my final years in the business I was personally running ‘top table’ searches across Financial Services. I had a deep understanding of the banking industry and thrived on complex situations which required lateral thought and a strategic understanding of a client's business. Speaking good French and limited Italian and Spanish, I was at ease operating anywhere in Europe and spent much of my career conducting searches abroad, particularly in Germany, France and Spain. I was widely recognised by independent bodies and by reputation as one of the leading Financial Services executive search consultants in Europe.In October 2012 I launched a Board practice with the intention of identifying talented new blood for boards of both Financial Institutions and Corporates. I met one-on-one with 15 FTSE 100 Chairs and spent 8 months identifying new boardroom talent (probably the most interesting and rewarding 8 months of the last 5 years).
