Recruited to build and grow a premium Accountancy & Finance offering consistent with HRM’s core values, my success in this role rested on my reputation as a consultative, credible senior hiring expert. Partnering with top-level executives from HR business partners to CEOs, my role was to identify hiring priorities, advise on recruitment strategy and lead a team to deliver best-fit senior hires. An end-to-end position, I contributed to business planning to elevate the HRM brand, designing and executing sales and marketing activities in order to position the business competitively in the market. • Successfully positioned division as top-tier Accountancy and Finance Selection business, raising core capabilities to service more senior management and executive assignments, as well as retained business;• Introduced a number of improvement projects to support positioning of brand and reputation for delivery, including designing an innovative performance based hiring structure adopted business wide;• Authored a number of well-received leadership pieces to raise HRM profile, creating brand reputation for thought-leadership.

Dublin & London

Joining Hays on their graduate programme, I completed associate training within Hays Office Support Ireland. Selected to set-up and grow a Senior Finance desk for the business as a Senior Consultant in Dublin, I worked closely with senior management to re-establish Hays’ brand in the market as a premium finance recruiter. Business development intensive, this role saw me building relationships with HR executives, CFOs, Finance Directors and CEOs, consulting with potential clients to uncover their priorities and developing business cases to create best practice recruitment solutions. • Seconded to London for 10 months, tasked with building a FTSE250 desk from the ground up, building relationships and brand credibility through consistent business development and marketing execution;• Successfully managed full lifecycle assignments for Finance Directors, Financial Controllers and qualified accounting personnel, also taking on a number of diverse appointments spanning sales and procurement;• Promoted to Senior Consultant in 2010 during one of the most challenging periods of the last 10 years in recruitment, selected to train and mentor a number of graduate trainees and junior recruiters;• Regarded as a social media expert, asked to give a number of training initiatives on LinkedIn on this basis, receiving one of a limited number of countrywide trial Recruiter licences from LinkedIn.

Initially joining a school debating group to develop my public speaking abilities, I returned to coach others while at university. Looking back, this was foundation on which I now base my career, embracing language to convince and negotiate, construct arguments, form coherent narratives and above all, sell ideas and concepts.
