About Philip Brady

So many people are burning out from DOING. The relentless expectations and conditioning combined with an ambition means we can often be driven to succeed in the wrong direction, leaving you empty, alone and confused. You did the DOING but it didn't work. Instead, I focus on coaching and developing people's ability to BE. When you're clear on who you are, what you value, what's important to you etc. the to-do list disappears and only the important stuff remains. You're left uncluttered mentally, emotionally and physically. You leave behind the weight of expectations and look to a brighter future with more energy, clarity and focus. This is Vitamin P, P standing for physiology and parasympathetic. Slowing you down to the present moment helps you be response-able, rather than reactive, and intentional about you, your life and your leadership. I've built up a decade of experience coaching, consulting & advising in regional & global roles focused on talent, learning & diversity plus leadership & manager development.I have facilitated leadership programmes across EMEA & coached senior executives & continue to develop these skills through supervision & exposure to other coaches and facilitators.I've also been delivering keynotes & seminars to large groups (250+) with some virtual sessions up to 600 people on mindset, change, leadership & coaching skills.“Philip is one of the best coaches I have ever worked with - smart, intuitive and wise. I can honestly say that he has been instrumental iin helping me achieve some of the best results I have had in 11 years of business. He is also genuine, sincere and totally committed to his craft. If you need breakthrough results then you need to get Philip in your life and business - a definite no brainer.”ROB MARR - INTERNATIONAL SALES COACH“I started working with Philip five months ago. I was starting my own coaching practice and lacked direction with it. Philip helped me shatter some limiting beliefs and set ambitious goals that have allowed me to take massive action since. He is a great listener, coach, and mentor. I will continue to work with him in the future.”CHRIS MAGEE - MANAGING DIRECTOR AT CRISSCROSS REMOVALS“I invested in myself this year by hiring Philip Brady as my leadership coach. By doing so, I've solidified my vision, pushed through my fears and hindrances, and made significant progress towards my career goals. Leadership coaching with Philip has been one of the most high yield investments I've ever made in myself.”CHEVONNE GEORGE - CAREER TRAINING CONSULTANT

P stands for physiology and I incorporate a deep understanding of your body and its impact on performance and wellbeing. Partnering with leaders and high-potential future leaders in coaching conversations, I focus on helping to unpack challenges, rewrite stories and build confidence to grow and evolve personally and professionally. Where needed, we leverage psychometrics to facilitate self-awareness (Hogan, VIA etc.) and build accountability in making progress. I work with corporate and private clients to support them in balancing culture and execution, overcoming imposter syndrome, navigating transitions between job or level changes and reaffirming their confidence to tackle bigger challenges.I take my development seriously and so my development at the moment is on vertical development (expanding the cup), rather than horizontal development (packing more into the cup) to help leaders navigate and lead through complexity. I’m also paying attention to the physiological components of performance and how to unlock potential from connecting mind and body more closely. To learn here, I qualified as a Level 3 Personal Trainer to build this understanding from the ground up.

Feb 2013 - Present

Global Manager Capability Practice Area Lead

I'm looking at the sourcing, curation, design and adoption of best-in-class learning resources and solutions across all Citi products, functional groups and geographies. As we move back to in-person program rollouts in 2023, I've been driving the global rollout of a number of in-person programs partnering with facilitators, design teams, senior leaders and regional teams.I am the Global Program Manager for the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) manager capability offerings from creation right through to rollout and engagement. Piloting adaptive learning technology platform Area9 for a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion program focused on increasing hiring managers ability to hire inclusively. "Feedback from those he’s partnered with points to Philip’s value-added feedback and suggestions and to the astuteness he models by checking in to see how he can best contribute to the project / work team. This is only one example of Philip’s consistent introspection and reflection about the best way to approach our work and how to ensure we are delivering the best quality experience to our leaders.""Philip approaches our work with enthusiasm, asking thoughtful (and thought-provoking) questions that can inspire new thinking. He balances this with his own curiosity and eagerness to learn and understand. While he will come in with a point of view based on his reflections, he also demonstrates the ability to listen, question / challenge and the flexibility to consider changing his position when presented with new information – a critical balance to sustain. He also adapts his approach to the needs and style of others"I’ve also helped pilot Area9, an adaptive learning platform, to rollout content for Inclusive Hiring which will be positioned to hiring managers globally.

Talent, Diversity And Learning Advisor For Belfast And Dublin Sites And Emea Ops & Tech

Citi

Belfast, United Kingdom

This role is supporting the Talent, Learning and Diversity priorities for the Dublin and Belfast sites and the role also includes EMEA Operations and Technology. The regional priority for the Talent, Learning and Diversity team is to create a culture where people can thrive and contribute to the future success of Citi. This involves thinking about creating an environment people feel they belong, while also being conscious of equipping people to be able to thrive in an ever-changing world. My role is to partner and consult with business and HR stakeholders, roll out regional and local initiatives while supporting this regional TLD priority. An important piece is also collaborating with our Centre of Excellence teams (across Talent, Learning and Diversity) to ensure the content we co-create is cutting edge and research based while also sharing challenges and context so that the solutions are relevant to what we hear locally and regionally. An important evolution of this role is shifting from a transactional role to become more of a trusted advisor with our stakeholders and partners and I thrive in this space: engaging in thoughtful conversations to explore challenges & partner to solve the challenges. I bring my coaching skills & natural curiousity to these conversations & enjoy building these deeper, more empathetic & human relationships which is really important to me. Recent 2020 highlights I’ve worked on in response to COVID: Resilient Leader email series to approx 6000 managers in EMEA, rollout of a virtual talent programme to approx 50 high potential future leaders, ongoing coaching engagements to senior leaders, launched an Apprenticeship programme in UK for a group of amazing people returning to the workplace with a learning experience that supports them in this transition, supported HR partners in the 2020 Talent process & delivered a Diversity and Inclusion in a Remote Environment presentation to HR partners & regional leadership teams.

Emea Bcma Learning Advisor

Belfast, United Kingdom

This opportunity was a stretch assignment covering a role for a colleague on extended leave. I was involved in regional initiatives and global learning curriculum rollouts for a BCMA audience. Regional initiatives covered Talent, Learning and Diversity across EMEA and partnering with HR Advisors and senior stakeholders to support this work. The BCMA global model for development, the Global Learning Institute, I looked after the rollout regionally and together with a working group, HR colleagues and business stakeholders, we ensured the content and delivery was relevant and contextual to our EMEA colleagues.Working with internal senior speakers and external vendors I looked after the scheduling, marketing, coordination and responded to challenging requests by collaborating to solve. This stretch assignment gave me the opportunity to build my understanding of building informal groups to achieve an outcome, how to consult and partner with senior stakeholders to ensure the approach is contextual and relevant to their opportunities. I also had to navigate complexity and ambiguity with limited supervision and had to connect and collaborate to achieve the rollout goals. Within 3 months, we exceeded the full 2018 RSVP numbers with 10-15% higher attendance. Feedback was strong with 4.5/5 rating on average across the sessions.
