About Philip Sammons
I have gone back to Ozharvest following a break working in a family business. Absolutely love giving back to the most needy in our society and saving food from landfill. After a career in banking I got a taste of running an SME along with family members and loved the independence and challenges of having to be across all aspects of the business. Retired after 30 years in Banking with Citigroup in Sydney and Singapore but also with Westpac and NAB including 15 years in various commodities roles. Commodity experience is broad across metals, energy, agri and emissions.Specialties: Trading, structuring and sales of commodity derivatives (including precious and base metals, iron ore, energy, grains and soft commodities) to consumers, producers and investors. Experienced in the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme. Price Risk Management and Financial Control experience. Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. Also experienced in the implementation and roll-out of new commodity price-making tools and risk management platforms.
