I am passionate about helping people that struggle with Mental Health issues. I am well versed and have extensive experience in scientific based evidence such as DBT, CBT, Anger Management, Seeking Safety and MRT. I am knowledgeable with support group services such as, 12 step, CR and Smart Recovery. I believe in Harm Reduction Models and personally believe the recovery industry is headed towards these models as a way to treat the suffering person in a non-punitive form of therapy. I am currently working as a Harm Reduction Counselor in a 3.5 LOC inpatient Facility specualizing in adult male cliebt refered to our agency by tbe Department of Corrections for the State of Waahibgton. I have also been On Call Advocate with Transitional Projects a non profit center serving the homeless and most vulnerable citizens of Portland Oregon. I was honored when I was given the task of working at the women's shelter advocating for the full time female residents. A position I am very proud of. I am currently enrolled and completing the requirements for my CDP license in the state of Washington .
