I Joined the Army in 2007 as a Cannon Crew Member. After serving a combat tour in Iraq in 2009-2010 I re-enlisted and changed my Military Occupational Specialty to 25B Information Technology Specialist. I obtained my Security+ certification before graduating with honors from the Army's signal school at Ft. Gordon, GA in 2011. I relocated to Ft. Hood, TX later that year and obtained my A+ certification. I was appointed as the only system/network administrator and Information Assurance Support Officer for the 215th Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division shortly after my arrival and I still serve in these capacities today. Additionally, I serve as one of two network engineers and information management officers when we operate in a tactical environment.
