I'm an endlessly curious history graduate from the University of Adelaide. I've spent a considerable amount of time studying Australian history ranging from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives (post-invasion) to migration to historiography and how we consider the study of history and the influence it can have. I'm now looking to turn that curiosity towards public policy design and innovation to be able to deliver equitable outcomes for people who experience disadvantage in society. I'm a big believer in 'Nothing about us, without us' and that no policy should be decided by any representative without the full and direct participation of members of the group(s) affected by that policy.I love travelling to new places and considering the historical processes that occurred to develop societies into their current form. I've spent time living in Scotland (the highlands will always have my heart) and travelling Europe, including a study tour in Germany considering sustainable urban development and how historical events affect urban development to this day. My interests include learning about political history and figures (mostly through podcasts), training and enabling my rescue dog to live her best life, reading fiction (fantasy, satire) and nonfiction (autobiographical, history, sociology), and cooking. I'm an avid proponent of cycling as a mode of transport and firmly believe that active travel needs to be further considered in automobility policy making.
